Helen Salster Falkner

Helen Salster Falkner, 77, died May 10, 2015 in Marathon, Florida.  She was born June 19, 1937 in Columbiana, Alabama to Melvin Grady and Rosie Vick Salster.  Helen lived on Tybee Island since 1964, and retired in 1994 from Hunter Army Airfield where she was in Civil Service.  She was a member of the Federal Retirees Club, the American Business Women’s Association, and the Women of the Moose.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, D.C. Falkner, and brothers, Melvin Salster, Jimmy Salster, and Jack Salster.

She is survived by her sister, Evelyn D. May, of Nashville, AR, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2015 at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Remembrances may be made to the Chatham/Savannah Humane Society.
